RSS Feeds Future Revealed

I don't claim be a futurologist or an RSS pioneer but I have been keeping a pretty close eye RSS how has been evolving. From what I have seen so far I think I can make some pretty good predictions about where RSS feeds are heading.

The first prediction pretty obvious but I think needs said. RSS feeds are here stay they are only going become more popular. This year we have seen likes Yahoo pretty much integrate RSS into its search Microsoft will integrate RSS reading into new browser make RSS a part next version Windows. It won't be long before RSS Google search appears.

RSS feeds will see richer content becoming more common. We already have inclusions RSS 2.0 are used pictures more frequently podcasts. I think we will see an increase video RSS feeds although due bandwidth needed I think many inclusions will be form torrents. That's right you heard here first, RSS readers with integrated support torrents.

There will be more more service based RSS feeds such RSS weather delivery lottery results, sports results other results reporting RSS services. This because RSS feeds are downloaded your RSS reader sit there ready you read them, you never have miss sports results again.

News RSS feeds will continue be big especially niche areas where there isn't much coverage there mainstream news such Yahoo news BBC news. There will be more smarter services will be able mix you RSS feeds taste so you get exactly sort news you like read about.

My final prediction will be how we consume RSS feeds. At moment there are many RSS readers you can choose from, this will change very soon. I predict there will be only a couple major RSS readers will emerge, pretty much like how we now only have two main web browsers. I however wouldn't like say whether Microsoft Mozilla will be two emerge dominant, field still too new.

Widgets are small lightweight apps run specific task such displaying weathers but a pretty GUI environment. We will see more widgets take RSS feeds translate them into graphical representations, a good example his would be a weather widget.
