there should be. There 
more exposure about RSS than there has ever been but take up RSS still seems 
be slow. I think main reason 
this lack understanding how implement an RSS feed.
I have been blogging at http://blogtonomy.com/ two weeks now, that's two weeks today 
fact 
my Feedburner stats tell me I have a total nine subscribers my RSS feed. That's not bad considering I did not activate my RSS feed straight away. These subscribers are made aware updates my sites without having visit my site. Why would you want make your readers visit your site if 
hasn't changed.
One my missions 
a webmasters has been promote RSS webmasters let them know that can be used an additional channel communicate with their visitors. I believe fills a gap that email failing do because vast amount spam that out there. In fact I only use email a means making contact with people, email personal should not be invaded. You should not have give out your email address all time.
RSS a good medium publishing newsletters, updates news. The sorts things that are not specific an individual but are relevant groups. I would compare RSS being more like a newspaper where email more like a letter you would expect get from a friend or relative.
By all means I am an advocate RSS have been promoting over at http://newsniche.com/ because lack enthusiasm or maybe confusion when comes RSS. The use RSS may not become widely used email but will grow popularity, especially with interest shown recently from likes MSN Yahoo. No doubt Google will join soon.
